Florian Sitzmann

To give a brief overview of Florian Sitzmann’s career is virtually impossible. Not only is he a trained pianist and graduate of the Staalichen Hochschule in Karlsruhe, but for some time he has also been lecturer and head of the Production faculty at Mannheim’s Pop-Akademie. Over the years, he has become well known through his activities as pianist, keyboardist, arranger, producer and songwriter, accompanying artists such as Xavier Naidoo and Joana Zimmer, and appearing on keyboards with the Söhne Mannheims (Sons of Mannheim), Kosho, the Greedy Bunch, Haddaway, Cae Gauntt, Helmut Jost, Joe Whitney and many others.

In 1999 he started up his own studio (Sherwood Forest Records) in the same building as the well-established "Kangeroo" Digital Audio Studios. In his capacity as arranger and producer for Nena, Edo Zanki, André Heller, Allison Paige, Xavier Naidoo, Cae Gauntt, Nino de Angelo, Judy Bailey, he has made significant contributions to these artists’ CD productions.

Florian Sitzmann is also much in demand as musical director and conductor of live classical projects. These have included Xavier Naidoo featuring the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Jose Carreras Gala with the Babelsberger Film Orchestra. His work as string arranger and conductor for „Galileo" Oscar Andrade (Chile), Natacha (CH) and the Söhne Mannheims is further testament to his outstanding musical versatility.

Florian Sitzmann:

"RME’s audio systems have played an integral part in my productions for several years, and I’m as convinced as ever about their professionalism, their sound quality and their reliability. Flexible system concepts, and the included multi-functional software tools such as TotalMix or DIGICheck have made work both relaxing and enjoyable. The ADI-8DS has an excellent sound, and for my mobile recording activities, the Fireface is a brilliant all-rounder."
